Oakhost Creative Collective is a collaborative initiative founded by Landon Davis and Owen Spence in 2018. Oakhost has made a name for itself among certain corners of the gaming world, particularly those familiar with some workings of game developer Bungie. Oakhost has worked on historical documentation and preservation of music and audio from their games, as well as making community-spanning fan projects.

Oakhost’s talent and projects have been featured on NPR and several high profile video game YouTube channels such as My Name is Byf and Planet Destiny. Particularly noteworthy is the independent Geomantic albums, a community collaboration that has, to date, produced two albums of multi-genre music covers exploring the themes of Bungie’s Destiny, garnering tens of thousands of views on a variety of platforms. Geomantic has been featured by media outlets such as PCGamesN and features more than a dozen musicians from the Destiny and Halo communities. You can learn about other fan projects here.

Oakhost also creates and publishes original media and music, such as three albums by Owen Spence and several singles by Landon Davis. You can learn more about that here. In addition, Oakhost has been at the forefront for the accessibility and archival of certain video game soundtracks, which you can learn more about here.

In the future, Oakhost plans to host written works by contributors such as Morgan Reed, create new musical projects, expand our archival efforts into visual media such as scans of video game and music packaging, and produce audio and visual asset packs for use in media. We also plan to host an archive of screenshots and other game images further documenting aspects of video games.
