MUSIC ARCHIVAL
Oakhost works to create archives of unreleased music from video games for historical preservation. We strive to hit the highest possible quality we can, while still maintaining courtesy to the rights holders of the original material. As such, we do not offer downloads to any material we don’t own, and we do not accept any form of compensation for our work. This is purely a passion project for us and a gift to the fans.
We upload our archives to YouTube, and all of our videos are rendered in After Effects from the highest-quality source material we have. Most of our videos are rendered using a lossless source file, meaning that the only compression is on YouTube’s end. In the event that a lossless file is not available, we use a source-quality file from whatever game we’re archiving. We always ensure that we rip files from the game losslessly and that the quality of our masters is the exact same quality you’d hear by playing the game.
COMPLETED
These are games that you can find our full archive for. If a game is on this list, you can find all of the music for it here.
Composed by Alex Seropian and Power of Seven.
A collection of all music from the Marathon series of video games. All videos were rendered using a lossless audio source. The tracks from Marathon 1 are the CD audio tracks and are not the QuickTime versions present during gameplay. If you inserted the Marathon 1 disc into a CD player, you’d hear these 7 tracks.
Composed by Martin O'Donnell, Michael Salvatori, and Paul Heitsch.
A collection of all music from the 1997 RTS game, Myth: The Fallen Lords. Assembled by tracking down rare CD copies of the music, as well as edited versions of files briefly available online from the composers, this collection is the highest quality, most complete set of the music to Myth. All music is available here, including music not present on the released soundtrack CD.
Many tracks on the original 1997 CD had pops and clicks in them. This was corrected in a later release of the same music in 1999, but not all tracks were present. The remaining affected tracks were restored in RX 9.
Composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori.
A collection of music from the 1999 western JRPG, Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator. Assembled using in-game files, as well as files from a rare sampler CD of music by O'Donnell/Salvatori that contains several lossless pieces from Septerra Core, this collection presents the best possible versions of this music available.
Composed by Michael Salvatori.
A collection of music from the 2005 video game, Stubbs the Zombie. Assembled using source-quality in-game files, this collection has all of the music from the game in the quality you remember it (even if it's not the best quality imaginable). This game is not very well known, and its music is even less so. As such, we hope to bring some attention and appreciation to this "lost" gem by famed Halo and Destiny composer, Michael Salvatori. In fact, one of the pieces from this game was even used in Destiny!
Composed by Michael Salvatori.
A collection of music from the 2008 party game, Hail to the Chimp. Assembled using source-quality in-game files, this collection has all of the music present in the ten levels in the game. This game is not very well known, and its music is even less so. As such, we hope to bring some attention and appreciation to this "lost" gem by famed Halo and Destiny composer, Michael Salvatori.

UPCOMING
These are games that Oakhost plans to archive. If a game is on this list, that means that we’re in the process of archiving it. Games on this list could be at any stage of archival. We may have a full audio archive that simply isn’t online yet, or we may be just planning to include it eventually. Either way, you can’t find these archives yet, and any given game on this list could be a little ways away or a distant-future dream. Rest assured, however, it’ll happen!
